The "Subwoofer" blues *please help*
I have recently aquired a 2001 explorer eddie bauer, and It has the factory subwoofer in the rear left of the vehicle, I have noticed that it is not functioning and I have tried everything I know to get it to work. I am assuming that there are no factory fuses for the amplifier and my sub or amp is blown?!?!
I have an amp and subs that came out of my other car, could this be installed using the existing amp's connections? i.e. speaker wires, power, ground wire??
or does anyone have any other troubleshooting or Installation suggestions?
thanks in advance!
The base radio does'nt have an amp fuse?
You might want to check out www.crutchfield.com.
They should have whatever you need to wire in your amp.
Is your 'deck' actually the correct Mach 460 Audio radio for that application (Meaning does it have the RDS option below the phone and eject button). There are seperate plugs in the back of the deck for the sub and amps.
Mine had the Premium sound deck in it and therefore, the sub never worked. Come to find out, a dealer put in the wrong deck during warranty work.. I got it replaced through me ESP and the sound system rocks!!
Good luck and let us all know what comes out of it..
