Best Value Downpipe

Hey guys, about to spend more funds on exhaust...I tried searching for that cheap downpipe thread but nothing came up..deleted? Anywho, I'm going to first start off the system with a 4" downpipe. I really like the Hog Performance stainless 4" downpipe from motorhaven. ( http://motorhaven.com/home.php?cat=303) third item down. It's only $132.99 + shipping. I thought that was a really good deal. Do you guys have any other downpipes that you think are pretty good priced or do you think this is the best value?

I am happy with my ITP 4", it's not stainless, and I think it was right around $100.00. Check out www.innovativetruckproducts.com .

Thanks PSDpower, that's exactly what I'm looking for; a 4" aluminized for $100 or less

just make sure the downpipe you are buying will hook up freely to the rest of the exhaust system

What exactly do you mean strokin_it7.3?

What I need is a 4" downpipe that goes from a 4" OD to a 4" ID. I think the Hog performance one does that. I don't think the ITP one does unfortunately.

Do you guys think that $34 is a little high for shipping on a downpipe?

That is the one I got, I was sure it was aluminized, but I guess not. I built the rest of my exhaust after the DP, so I had no fitment problems. If you are using one company's dp, with another company's exhaust, they may not meet up exactly right. You may either have to cut a bit off the end of the dp or add a bit to it, to get the two pipes connected.

Then you will be fine. One other thing to look out for with that dp is it gets a little tight between the starter and the leafspring shackle. With stock shackles it should be fine but with the leveling kit I have I had to be very careful to avoid rubbing on the shackle or starter.
