towing ??
i will be towing my 79f1504x4 with auto and 205 case. i,m using a tow bar on it behind my f250. can i just put the trans in neutral? and should i put the transfer case in neutral?? whats the best way so i don,t hurt anything? thanks mudder trucker.

If you are towing any great distance, then definately remove the drive shaft - a few minutes of preparation prevents long periods of repair, frustration and cash out flows!
Also, if you are really concerned, put it on a trailer or flat-bed.

Also , before removal , get one of those big , fat , yellow markers and mark each end of the DS so you can correctly reinstall when arriving at your destination---be careful as the ends will come off and you'll have little needle bearings in your lap-------fd
