engine oil cooler
My donor truck had an oil cooler tha was damaged. I swapped the motor and manual tranny into my 1955 truck. The radiator I'm using has a built in tranny cooler in it and I was thinking rather than repairing the oil cooler can i just run the oil through the tranny cooler in the radiator? The problems I see are that the oil and coollant may be the same temperature and be pointless and that the tranny cooler lines are smaller than the oil lines and may restrict flow. What do you guys think.

I wouldn't do that like you noted the tranny lines are smaller and will severly restrict the flow of oil which is not a good idea on your engine. So either get rid of the oil cooler if you don't think you will really need it or buy a new one.
