Problem going to tilt
I just got a tilt column from a 78 F350 2x4.I want to put this in my 77 F100.The problem is I have a wire broken off and can't see where it is supposed to go.It looks to be red and gray and when I pull the signal cam wireing up i dont see any wire this colour.Does it go some where else in the column

If you look up the tube you might see that the light socket is still in the hole is is supposed to clip into.
To get it out you need a set of long needle-nose pliers.

That doesn't sound like a Truck column to me ?
The Trucks all have the same coded wires.
Do all the other wires match ?
As the cars have theirs.
I'll check for a gray/red wire in a schematic.

are you sure its grey. the wire may appear to be light grey but is really a light light blue.

wouldnt it be easiest to put a test light on it and then switch on your headlights.. My column had a clipped red/blue wire that just hung there too..
