I just had recall 05S34 (ficm harness and ICP) and 05B29 (CAC duct) and before I had the work done I began to notice, about two weeks prior, that the take off from stop sign/light was hesitant. I thought since I was using the AC on high, that was the reason. Or "turbo lag" that people say is common with the Powerstoke.
I got my truck back yesterday and it feels like a new truck, night and day. It takes off with authority and passing, man oh man, you hammer it and it goes.
Am I just thinking its running better or did I possibly have a problem the recall fixed? I never heard a loud sound from the CAC, let alone know where it is, but the description on the recall says if you had this problem reduced power would occur. I talked with the service person and asked if these parts were damaged and he told me he didn't have info if they were or not.
I'm just happy that it's fixed now, the only worry that I have is if the CAC was defective, and drove around for two weeks, is there any damage to the engine or turbo that could have occured.
Thanks to all that reply.

I had the same warranty items repaired. They also found my injectors to be out of synchronization. This was causing minor surges and a slight idle roughness. One thing I also noticed was when I start it up in the morning and move it out of my backyard (very very slow speed) it does not sound like a cummins with no oil (LOUD)!!!! For once the dealer did me right.
