Favorite's gotta be the marlin 512 12 gauge. 22" rifled barrel for sabots/slugs bolt action - YES a bolt action shotgun - 2 round magazine + 1 chambered. Incredible accuracy too.

In terms of a shot gun for shot, I also like my Traditions 12 gauge over/under. Especially for an over/under that cost < 500 bucks.

Mossbergs are defanitly the way to go if you can get your hands on the older style the newer ones have a pretty bad reputation but i still prefer it over my wingmaster.

Without a doubt, Benelli Montefeltro. I've shot Remingtons, Winchesters, Beretta's, Franchi's, Brownings, mossbergs nothing so far shoots or points as nice as a Benelli, though the 870 comes a close second.

there are different favorites for different uses.
for small game and birds, without a doubt, it would have to be my abercromby & fitch 28 gauge over/under made by zoli rezini in cambria italy in 1965, 3 years before he became noted as a craftsman of fine guns.

for deer and geese, it would be the ithaca mag 10

for home defence, it is the smith & wesson riot gun

I would say my Krieghoff K-80 is about my favorite, but I don't like to carry it in the field as I don't want to damage it. Great gun for sporting clays. I'd say my favorite field gun is the Beretta Silver Pigeon O/U 12 ga. or Beretta Silver SxS 20 ga.
As you can tell I don't much care for auto loaders, too much ratcheting noise..

I'veshot a krieghoff at the range. Its shoots good but its fitted to him & its hard for me to shoot it well. If I could adjust the stock it would be easier to shoot. I will get a over & under for my next gun. They are more relibable for trap & sporting clays.
