Not a big thing to you guys, but today I stopped dismantling my project and started the rebuild and reassembly portion.
I am still waiting on parts but I was able to clean and paint some of the parts - the front axle and spindles are now in primer, and the front hubs received the cast iron paint treatment - is a milestone I have been working towards - the first paint!
btw, whoever suggested the Eastwood cast iron paint did me a favor - worked like a champ!

Nice job *****, I got discouraged doing the stripping and cleaning portion, but I really enjoy the masking and painting parts on the project. Makes all the hard work of cleaning worth it. After everything is clean and painted, it makes it that much nicer to put things together too. Then stand back and observe. Good job!

If you got the cash, get yourself a media blaster, I don't own one, but everyone I know that does, seems to act like the cleaning/degreasing part is the easiest part of restoration..... -4speed

It feels good to finally get over that hump of dissassembly and cleaning. It's time for paint and reassembly!! It's all downhill from now on!! (ya, right) ;-) ...Terry
ps. I like Eastwood's cast iron paint too, my master and wheel cylinders look like new. Using Dot5 so it will not eat the paint.

DOT 5 is where I am going too - we had a long discussion on it, and I decided then to give it a whirl. Been using up my other brake fluid in soaking stuck bolts.
