Trans linkage slipped
We have a 98 Expedition with the 5.4 4X4. The wife called me a bit ago and told me that the truck wasn't moving from park, to reverse to drive as normal. everything is down one more positon. (Reverse actually kicks in when the selector is pointing at Neutral and so on). Has anyone else had this problem and if so is it a quick fix or does it need to go to the shop. Any advice you have will help.
