Rebuilt master cylinders are not what they used to be.
I had one on my truck starting to fail, so I got a rebuilt master cylinder and all was well.
Started up the road with a couple tons of iron water pipe on the truck and within 30 miles the brakes were worse than the old master cylinder was.
Made it back to town and changed the master cylinder again. This one has been working for 6 months so far.
Slowly fading to the floor when you are not losing fluid is often a bad master cylinder.
