On my suburban we were able to listen to the radio or a cd while the kids watched and listened to a dvd with the wireless headphones. I cant for the life of me figure out how to do this on the '05 X. Little help , please.
The wife has my Excursion so I am going off of my fuzzy memory as I don't recall 100% what the manual says. I have an 04 so the system should be the same. You can set it from the rear radio controls behind the center console. You will have to press the media button a few times, sorry forgot which setting will display on the Radio/CD player but it does work as I did the same on my last trip. It is a little vague in the owners manual but it states how to do it in my 2004 manual. Hope this kinda helps.
Manual is real vague about it, will play with the media button and see what happens, there's got to be a way, otherwise the wireless headphones are useless.
thanks
jag,, Put on the radio..Put on the dvd palyer and play a movie. There is a button on the back of the center console that you press. The radio display will say dual mode. Press the am/fm button and you can then listen. You cannot listen to a cd....
While the CD is playing, press the "headphones" button so the display reads dual mode. Then press the "media" button until the display reads DVD/CD and you will be listening to the CD on the front speakers only and the DVD will start.
