It seems it's time to shop for a new battery. I was in walmart the other day and looked at their batteries. 3yr. free replacement and 9yr. pro-rated. The CCA was only 700, but my truck is a plain-jane. Has anybody had any experience with them. Usually I go with Interstate, but they are $40.00 more. Any feedback will be appreciated. Thanks.
There are just a few manufacturers of batteries. Walmart's batteries are:
some EverStart [sealed Maintenance Free], are made by Delphi
some EverStart, are made by Exide
some EverStart MAXX [non-sealed Low Maintenance], are made by Johnson Controls
I have never bought a Walmart battery, but I would guess they are just as good as the other brands you can buy. I usually buy my batteries from a place that is very common and open late, in case I have a problem. I usually buy Autozone Duralast, but Walmart would also fill the bill as far as getting a new battery under warrenty without any hassle on the weekends and if you where on vacation somewhere and needed a warrenty exchange.
I have two of the Maxx series so to say in my trailer, great when needing to have the batttery replaced, only had the original in the trailer go bad, lost a cell, took it back no problem, decided to by a second one because I had the space.
