My name is Adam Ledlow and I'm the assistant editor with Truck News in Toronto, Canada. I had the privilege of meeting Ford Truck Enthusiasts CEO Ken Payne over the weekend at the Power Stroke Diesel 200 and he gave me permission to use this site for a request:
I'm doing a story on the types of vehicles that transport truck drivers drive when they're at home. My argument is that truck drivers like to feel as though they're still behind the wheel of a big rig even when they're at home, which is why many turn to the Power Stroke Diesel engine to satisfy this need.
Any big rig drivers willing to do a 5-10 minute phone interview with me to discuss why you choose your particular vehicle for driving at home are encouraged to email me at (Click Here to find out why email addresses are removed from posts.)
Thanks in advance!
Adam.
Glad to have you here and it was nice meeting you at the event. Hopefully you'll find what you need here... I'll sticky the post to the top for a couple of days....

You need to get out of Canada and see the rest of the world.
For example, c'mon down here to Texas. After you've see about your 100th 4'-10" secretary driving a PSD, you'll realize that it's not just big rig drivers that want to "feel as though they're behind the wheel of a big rig".
almost two milion miles of this usa's roads in a few petercars here, my super duty is because of what i tow and haul. not to feel more at home like in a big rig. plus new jersey roads are the pits and a big heavy truck stands up better to pot hole heaven.
you can email me for more info

He wasn't asking about those. He represents a publication for big rig drivers. He wants to know about big rig drivers who drive Super Duties, not about non-big rig drivers who drive Super Duties. Let's roll out the welcome wagon to our guest rather than being critical.
Welcome aboard TruckNews. My wife and I run team in the lower 48 and Canada.Beautiful country you have by the way. While it isn't a full blown Superduty,We drive an Excursion with the V-10. Basically the same truck though. After being on the road for 6-8 weeks at the time, neither of us want to be couped up in a car. We do use it to tow our boat,A 22' Glastron and to haul the grandkids around, so it isn't ALL about feeling like you are still in the rig.I'll try to e-mail you when I can sit still and do the interview if you would like.Good luck with the article.
I have been an OTR Driver for the last 3 years. I run all 48 states, coast to coast, border to border. I stay gone atleast 8 weeks at a time, and when I get home I dont wont to be around a diesel engine till I am ready to leave out again. But, I still drive a 78 F-250 super cab. I just cant drive anything much smaller. It dont feel right! :-XO4
How do I go about contacting these folks who have replied? I got a message saying I have to have 15 posts and have been a member for 15 days before I'm allowed to email anyone. Let me know when you can.
