Voltmeter not working???

Does anyone know what wires to look for when chasing them from the instrument cluster? My voltmeter hasn't worked since I bought my '88 XLT w/5.8. I've checked the fuses and all the other instruments work just fine. Just can't seem to locate the wire or wires for the guage in question.

Mine works, I just have to hit the top of the dash as hard as I can. It just tends to stick. It does not bother me because there has never been a time when I needed it.

When you say it isn't working...as in? I know mine would not really move when the truck was running. It would basically sit in the same position. The only time you tell it was working was when my alternator started going out and you see it move with the RPMs. Or when you first started it.
