Just Wondering??

Is there a place on the web site that will tell you about all the mods that you can do as a "Do it your self" section??
I have a 2001 7.3 crewcab with 109K miles on her. I have a Bull Dog chip set at 65 hp also a AFE air filter and 4" exhust. Is there any thing else that I can do?? Looking for MPG mods and if I get a little more power out of it that's great also.

Thanks Joe

I think that question is difficult to answer, as everyone's wrench aptitude is different. So folks can't check their own oil, where as some folks can do entire engine rebuilds by themselves. Kinda depends what you are comfortable doing...................

Hi Joe

To answer your question.....on the site......no. But you can get alot of information on a whole slew of things concerning the 7.3 here: http://pages.prodigy.net/stevebaz/_i...az/index3.html
You can run searches on these forums for more information if something strikes your fancy.
A tip: Fill in your signature on your profile page. Be sure to check the "show my signature" box at the bottom of the page. That way, people can see what you've done to the truck, and won't have to ask. Just put your cursor on a users header where it says signature to get some idea of whats needed. Since I don't read anything, I'll ask if you have gauges yet? That is one of the first things that should be done if it hasn't already when your going to get into the MOD game. Hope this helps.

I just got back form vacation we went to Montana, Yellowstone, Cody WY. Pulling our fifthwheel I got 12 mpg took a side trip to Cody WY. Left from Ennis MT. with out the trailer 231 miles one way through Yellowstone got 21 mpg. I used 11 gal. coming and 11 gal. going. That was doing the speed limit witch is 70 in MT. 45 in the park and 50 and 60 mph in WY. For 20 miled on the way to Cody we had road construction in the Park stop and go that 20 miles avrage speed 15 mph. If you get any the same Mpg be happy and just have fun. I did not worie about milage on this trip but only checked because I wanted to know. If it was less I would not cair we went to have a good time and we did.

Elimination of the Crank Case Vent going to the intake for the turbo. Redirecting it down through a pipe to the underside of the truck. Keeps the oily mist from building up in the intercooler boots.

About the CCV mod....why do they have the crankcase ventilating back into the intake in the first place...? Is it technically illegal to have it venting out and under the truck? Don't get me wrong, I think it is a good mod but I was just wondering why they have it like that..
