Chevy Trail Blazer

I picked this forum because I'm not really comparing it to anything, but here's my take on the "truck".

It was a rental. 2000 kms on the odometer, so it was basically new.

Anyways, the thing rode nice, had plenty of room for 6, but 7 would have been pushing it. Rear AC was a nice touch, as the bride and groom shouldn't be too sweaty in the middle seat. Bridesmaids had more than enough room in the rear seats.

Center console, while huge, was set too far back and up too high. Cubbyhole for cigarette packs in front of the shifter was too hard to access. Power windows were a bit confusing as they were pretty much flat; you'd have to take your eyes off the road to see which way was up or down. Mind you, after driving it for a couple days you'd probably get used to it.

Seats were comfy. Outside temp was another nice touch, as it gave us some warning. Visibility forward was okay. Out the back sucked. Backup sensors would be a good idea, since I thought I might have hit something. In reality though, it was just a bag of beer in the back that fell over.

Onto the power, well, that left something to be desired. Not sure what engine we got, could have been a 4, 5, or even a 6, but whatever was in it was a piece. It could barely get out of its own way going down hill. Uphill, not a chance. On the level, we got it up to 120 kph, but it took a while. The groom drove it, and got his foot stuck on the accelerator. Same thing happened to me, the upper right corner of the pedal. Watch out for that.

Overall, not a bad car for a Chevy. Just could use a bit more power. Perfect for a suit and tie guy, but for a blue collar guy like me, nah. No thanks.
