Body Swap Question
I was just wondering what is the latest model year body that would swap onto a 1978 f100 frame.
I have searched all the forums and still can't find this information I dont have any real plans to do a body sway but I would just lke to know what is the highest model year body that would fit on a 78 f100 frame .

Anything from 73-79 will swap, but you could make any modle fit with modifications of corse. But like I said, if you get a regular cab regular be anywhere from 73-79, that is if you already have a regular cab and bed.

The body with least modification would be 1973-1979 Ford truck. The truck bed depends if the truck is long wheel base. Any grill would also fit, but you would need the headlights assembley and grill assembly. Seats from a 1973-1996 ford truck will fit if you use the seat runners off a 73-79 ford truck.
This would be a good time to replace the cab mount and radiator support bushings.
