PSD running terrible !
my 99 f450 started running rough the other day. It kind of felt like it was missing......I plugged in my scanner and did the usual checks......injector buzz test...........OK glow plug test.............OK PW (injector cut out) test..........OK I did have a couple of codes.......P0470 Exhaust Backpressure sensor circuit fault, P1298 IDM Fault, and P0476 Exhaust Pressure contol valve performance. I've come to the conclusion that either my cat is plugged or the exhaust pressure control valve is stuck closed.......my questions are as follows: What contols the exh prs control valve? and should I replace the IDM ?
