Next years rally
2) Are any members pyrotechs?
3) Would fireworks at a Rally constitute an unworkable insurance problem?
There wouldn't be a much point celebrating another countires Independance...~

I celebrate both.
I Fly the Canadian Ensign (that's thr flag I was born under)
I fly the Stars & Stripes to really celebrate freedom in a way that Canada doesn't.
Plus, I have to believe the US is the one of the only Military that would help protect us ,,because the few Canoes & Sligshots the liberals have left us with to use aren't very anymore effective ab
Rollie, I believe Alberta is the home to at least 80% of American's living in Canada.
We also have Fireworks in the toen I live in.
Chad won the 56 Ford truck that signifies the Canadian Company that sells fireworks here.

Let's see, crawfish, shrimp, fireworks, oysters on the half shell...aww yeah.

Let me know.
Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts
What holiday is it to make the June 24/25th weekend a Long Weekend ?
From My 16 years of Experience;
It's common knowledge in the car show circuit that unless the people are on holiday's, that shows that are not held on Long Weekends attract less long distance people and just basically just attract short distance travellers ie: (within 120 miles)
If this is truly meant to be a National Event it would allow more travelling time.
ie: People arrive late Friday & leave Monday.
I think if people know about it far enough in advance, they'll make arrangements anyway, but if it's on the 4th, there might be a few families willing to enjoy a fireworks show in KC....and maybe, for the same reason, there wouldn't be a lot of people travelling otherwise (for example, having it on Memorial Day weekend would suck), which would mean both more people around KC to come enjoy the show, and less traffic on the highway for those of us planning to travel in vehicles that probably really should stay off the highways.
People around here won't go more than 100 miles for a 2 day camp weekend. This is why I mention after school gets out.
This only affects the people with kids in school though.
See, In my case it doesn't matter.
I'm only bringing this up for people like Gordo, that travelled 2500 miles & took how many days to get there.Even without the rear end going out.
2500 miles is 4 to 5 days driving for ONE person who is doing the actual driving.
so 5 days to get there...5 days to get back 2 day show
1500 mile trip = minimum 3 days to get there 2 day show ...minimum 3 days to get home
Except for Manitobans ,because of the time needed,Canadians wouldn't do this unless they are on vacation.
Never mind the price of fuel & exchange rate.
This is the very reason I was ecstatic when I found out about Gord from Kitimat & what Ken said & did for him

I was also thrilled that Terry from Everett Wa made it.
It wasn't the same feeling for Gene as this meet is close to his heart.
These are my only real points.
If people have the vacation time,No child in school, rich enough for the fuel they buy, accomodation on the way there & back, plus once they are there.
The meet will require picking the best date possible.
I'm not trying to be negative,I'm just trying to offer insight like you replied with Jeff

So basically it's , How to attract the most people from all over the US & Canada.

GENE
One of the things that we are looking for with this date is just what Gene said about going on to the family reunion for the 4th. We can possibly get people planning to and coming by on their way to other family gatherings for the 4th Holiday.
At 70mph a 1500 mile trip can be done in 2 days easy a 2500 miler should be able to be done in 3 if you drive straight through. I know it's a long haul and hard driving but with close to a year to plan for it then people should be able to make the needed arrangements to attend. That is the thought behind it anyway.
