Alternator How Bigs
How big (amps wise) of an alternator for a BII can you get and where.
I saw a 150 amp on ebay but after I talked to the guy he said it wouldn't work on a 90 2.9 because of the bracketing. The biggest I've been able to find in the local pick n pay is an 85 but that aint cutting it.
I had an 80 E150 I wound up putting a 105 amp on it because of the stereo I was running but the BII hasn't even gotten that far all I have is a set of those high output headlights and its been a battery killer.

I was planning on buying the 150 amp one tonight.. it won't work on a 90? Dang.. Guess I'll have to look some more. There's some guy out there that has alternators that are like 105, 120, 150, 180, and then a 300 ampere one. I wish I could find out where he is.

How much would it cost to get it upgraded or w/e. I need more amperage but the biggest I can get is 80a at Autozone, and they have a huge core charge. If you're on tonight, I wanna pick your brain.

A 130 would do it, but where or what do I get one out of and what kind of mods have to be done?

I would tell ya but I can't remember. I think it's a Mercury cougar or something like that, it says 105 amp on it. You have to fab up some brakets for it. To make it 130 you have to have it rebuilt I believe.

By fabing brackets do you mean using other brackets cause I got alot of them.
