i am wondering how the get up and go is on yall's rangers. I'm interested in all years , all engines, but mainly, 93 to current 4.0 Please state auto or stick, gear ratio, tire size blah, blah, blah.....will rangers get off the line decent?

Any 4.0 should get off the line well. The earlier OHV's had a bit more low end torque than the SOHC's. The 3.0 is the one that lacks some low end.

I have the same setup as frankenbroncoII, but with an auto. My '90 Ranger 4x4 has an 144,000 mile 2.9L V6, auto with 3.73:1 gears on 235/75R-15 Firestone ATs. When I floor it, the tach needle jumps to 2500-3000 and the truck moves, but it lacks hp and torque. I want to swap something in with an honest 250-275 hp at the crank, but I'd probably have to swap in a stronger drivetrain too.
