Engine Indentification

I've got a 300/6 of unknown vintage, the only #'s I can find is the serial on the back (cca43469). Can the year be determined from that our do I need something else?

Engine Indentification

ID'ing the engine will be tough...the numbers you posted won't help too much. The best idea is to check out the casting number on the head or block and determine which is later...why do you want to know? The 300's really didn't change untill the EFI came into the scene in '87/'88. The differences between '67 and '87 are subtle...fuel pump externals and head chamber size, nothing that won't allow parts to interchange between years. What did you have in mind?
