removing headlights
The only hard part about doing the swap is the headlight itself. (The left side is relatively easy, the right side isn't so easy, it just requires a little more effort. )The headlight is held in place by 2 metal clips right behind the light. You'll need a pair of pliars that can get a good grip on those clips. From there, all you have to do is pull up and that's it; but be careful, if those break it could make things a smidge harder. (plus they're expensive at the dealer) Once you manage to get those clips off, you'll need to turn the adjuster screw (located at 2 o'clock) to the right, NOT the left. (you'll need a socket for this) A word of caution, make sure you use snug fitting socket otherwise you'll round off the head and make adjusting difficult later on. (take it from someone who knows
) Once you've got that going, the headlight should make it's way out. Once it comes out enough, it's in your best interest to unplug the harness from the bulb. Once you have the head light out, you can easily replace the turnsignal assembly no problem. The assembly is held together by two philips head screws directly below the signal itself. Once you get the screws out, all you have to do is lightly pull and it should all come off. From there, it's a bulb swap, then vice-versa. As for the re-installation of the headlights, it can be quite tricky. If you ordered from www.carlightswholesale.com like I did, you probably got a whole new adjuster screw. It's difficult to put in, so unless you really want to, I wouldn't bother with it. The flat side of screw that goes into the adjuster ( seen and circled here ) has to face up and be as level as possible otherwise it won't work. But before you do this, you should change out your bulbs and plug the harness back in. Once you do that, you have to line the screw up with the adjuster and push it in as far possible. When it stops, get your socket and start turning to the left and the light should start pulling itself in. You'll probably have to push on it a little, but not too much. Once you get things lined up again, put the metal clips back in and you're done!
All you have to do now is adjust the your headlights and you're good to go! I've done the best I can to explain this and I hope I haven't left anything out. Best of luck to ya'!
