hello! my name is ryan, and i just picked up my grandfather's 1976 f250 camper special, lol, which seems to be bad words on this forum (tons of questions). i love v-8 power of all (american) brands, and have had at least one of most (still looking for a worthy amc). but the rig has the 390, 4 speed, lwb, and a near perfect tan on brown body. as of now, it seems destined to become a tow vehicle for my other projects until the completion of my 54 chevy cabover. my grandfather bought it new in early 76, making me the second owner, fitting as ive done most of the maintenance since its rebuild 12 years ago. that being said, its now sitting with a bad motor since they had a poorly tuned carb installed after i joined the navy 3 1/2 years ago. heh, running lean and pulling boats/campers is not the best of combos! anyway, thanks for all the info i have already found on the site! -mt3 ryan mahaffey, usn
