Instrument cluster issue

This is a little off topic but could not decide where to post it.

I have a 89 F250 7.3

On the electrical gauge the black "cover" that goes over the light has fallen off and is bouncing around behind the clear plastic of the instrument cluster. Does anyone know of a way to take the cluster apart so I can get the part back on.

Thanks
Ken

Went through the section and could only find entries for 92 to 97. Looking for 89. Must be over looking something. Could someone please point me in the right direction

Thanks

i thought that even though yours was a different year that the article would help you out and give you an idea for how to deal with your 88.

You are 100% correct it gives a lot of insite and helps a lot, This is what it is all about, but just need a little more and the location of the screws to remove the cluster.

The insight was very helpful and convinced me it was an easy task.

Instructions for 87 to 93 for removing the instrument cluster

1- remove the 2 upper screws (located in the top of the clear plastic)
2- remove the wiper and lights ***** (clasp loaded)
3- remove the left bezel (the one left of the steering column)
4- remove the screw holding the right bezel (located under the steering column)
5- remove the right bezel
6- remove the 6 remaining screws that hold the cluster in place

That was the easy part. A dab of model glue and it was perfect.
