In most applications the roller lifter allows the ramps of the camshaft to be steeper, thus allowing the overall max lift be attained quicker and stay open longer...thus allowing more fuel/air and more power.
Usually the roller lifter itself is no advantage alone. Most camshafts are made specific for a certain lifter and you can not switch them around.
Most times with a roller lifter a much stouter spring is recommended due to the fast ramp speed and the tendency of the roller to fly off the top of cam lobe. So a much higher spring rating is needed, and it's more prone to wearing out the spring(depending on how radical the ramps on the cam are).
They are used pretty much everywhere in stock motors today, but the camshaft is very mild in design because of it.
the 941 is a flat tappet cam. there is no need for these setups unless you are building a high rpm race motor. make sure not to use a SM rated oil in your engine as it has very low zddp and you will wear out the cam fast or shear a lobe off. use SL/CI-4+ rated diesel oil.

15w40 is the normal weight and 10w30 is a little harder to fiind. i like delvac or rotella 2 any good dielsel oil will be a huge upgrade from running regular oil. the add pack is very strong and has lots of anti wear additives. delvac is good if you have leaks it has a special base oil which helps in seal swell. delo has over 200ppm of moly and lots of boron which are good barier lubes. rotella has been industry standard for years in the truck industry. the valvoline oils are very weak compared to these so i would not even bother with it.
yeah with 10w-30 oil the oil pressure is about 30 psi that is idle at about 650 RPMs (I think i will have to double check that some time to make sure but i think that was preddy close it what i had)
Is that good or bad?
I have not done any other tuning to it just started it and got the cam broke in. Then that has been it for about two weeks now.
