Talking Truck bed

Anyone know if a bed from a 87 F150 will bolt on a 68 F100?

It should be fairly close. Guy in town took a box off of a 1998 Superduty and placed on a similar P/U. The SD box was a bit wider than the cab.

may i ask why you want to switch the beds?

if you look at the side of the beds and see that the ridges are no where even close to being the same

I am sure that it could be down as long as you have a drill and a drill bit, a welder and some flat bar steal.

the flat bar would be to support the bed when it is bolted to the frame. If you look under the old bed you will see the brace that i am talking about.

then if the bolts dont line up you can put the flat bar on the frame and mark it to drill the spots that you need. then you can put it under the the bottom of the bed where you need it. then weld the flat bar to the bottom under the bed. then you can drill the rest of the way through your sheet metal in the bed to put in the new bolts.

just a thought i thunked up just then
