I am installing for the 2nd time shoes on a 89 F350 single wheel.
The Chiltons manual is lame at best as far as pictures, so My questions:
1. The bigger shoe(Primary) goes towards the Rear end of the truck?
2. The metal reinforcement on the top of the shoes should be facing out towards the installer?
I use the truck for plowing and one of my shoes cracked the asbestos. so it was dragging and warped. They have been on the truck less than 8 months with minimal mileage, maybe 2000 at best.
I did put new wheel cylinders and turned the drums at a machine shop.
