2002 E350 A/C cuts out when engine under stress
I apologize if this has been addressed in a previous post but there are 2000 to review and summer will be over. I have a small van type RV on a 2002 E350 chassis with the 5.4L Triton V8. When I go up hill in the mountains or on the desert bucking a head wind, the A/C will cut off. Even the vent will cut off until the engine is not under stress. The Ford dealer says it is a normal computer thing to save the engine from overheating or the A/C from working too hard. Can someone confirm that for me? Seems strange to me why someone who lives in the mountains or in the desert would buy such a unit if they knew about this. Same thing with newer models?
