Replacing Tailgate

My tailgate was swiped off of my 2001 F-150 longbed last week, so now I have a bodyshop repainting one for me to replace the stolen one, but my question is this; how do I put the new tailgate back on. I was told that is very, very easy and will take less than 10 minutes, but they didn't explain it to me other than to say "you just slide it on". Also, anyone have any experience with the tailgate locks that you place over the handle...pop lock or something like that. Thanks!

One look at the two pivots on the ends of the tailgate and at the corners of the box and it will be perfectly clear how it goes on. It is easy, no tools required. Just have the support cables ready (one end of each connected to the box). You can do by yourself the second time, but have a friend help you the first time. The handle of the tailgate can be changed to a key-lock type. ...Terry
