Driving home from the job last night a Honda CRX (I think) cut me off and then gave me a brake job. Poor lilte kid thought he was gonna get away from me in his tricked out honda. you should have seen the look on his face when I hung out next to him until we hit 96mph, stupid computer. Kid was horrified. Bone stock 350 reg cab long box not even pushed to the floor. (I think my tires where as tall as his car.) first time I really got on it and Holy ****e. cant laugh for too long though since i neeed to go back to the gas station. but fun while it lasted.
Get a tuner to get rid of the speed limiter and watch them then.I had one recently that barely got around me [he already had a head of steam].Funny part was I had my Kawasaki 700 Prairie 4 wheeler in the bed.
Haha, yeah those ricers are annoying. I'm always wandering where they get the ***** to do stuff like that, especially to trucks this size. Had one guy do this to the '96 one night. The winch bumper lined up nicley with the back of his head, so he didnt do it again when he discovered he couldn't shake me.
What's even funnier is when you get one on your tail on an on-ramp and use the throttle to steer through - something front-wheel-drive doesn't give you.
My '97 Cougar has sport suspension (30th anniv) and 225/60r16's... and rear-wheel-drive.
I had a Honda CRX on my tail into an on-ramp on day, he had already been cutting people off behind me, I was watching in the rear-view. So, I decided to play with him.
He was tailgating so close that I don't think he could really see the on-ramp ... off I go , doing about 50-55, line it up right, steer with the go-pedal, and he wound up in the grass, bouncing all over the place. He couldn't see the turn and didn't expect my little "boat" to handle that well, I guess... funniest thing I ever saw.
Playing with them with the V10 is even more fun, even all these high-horsepower foreign jobs can't pull from the light like the V10. They only catch up after I let off, I've never really tried up to the limiter (on the highway is a different story, hit that darn thing once or twice)...
I was on a highway (won't say where) with a stretch straight as an arrow with double lanes at certain areas. I was in my 71 F100 and it hadn't been long since I had the 351W engine rebuilt only a two barrel carb on it, too, with no speed limiter . I had someone in one of those rice burners riding my tail which is something I really dislike. It was one lane and I guess 60 wasn't fast enough for them. When we got to the double lane area, I was ready to have some fun. Thirty-four year old truck just smoked them.
I put it to the floor and eased off at times and then pushed it back to the metal. I know I was doing over 100mph. They just got smaller and smaller in the rear view mirror and the truck went faster. They never did pass me. I eased off the gas with a big smile on my face. The rest of the way into town, I didn't get any more of them riding my tail. I'm sure it shocked them and gave them a better respect for older American trucks. I didn't tell my better half about my 'fun'.
I think the only thing better than that about the V10 is the fact that you can drive at a normal speed and accelerate pretty much the same with 10K lbs behind you ( I forget it is the some times). or maybe its the fact that i can throw a truck that weighs almost 7K lbs sdie ways with the touch of a pedal.
I love when the little turds come up and tailgate. Especially when they are so close that you can't see them behind the tailgate. That's what I have my little surprise for. Two 100 watt lights under the bumper. After the lift they are right at eye level for the rice cars. Hehehe. Yeah, I know I'm, a p123k!
I know I'm gonna get blasted for this, but I supercharged my '01 Silverado Z71 w/ a 5.3. Talk about a sleeper. That was pretty funny to dust off sports cars with a 4wd truck. Talk about pissed. Especially when there litttle NOS systems can't catch them up.

You've come to the wrong place if you want a good blasting, may I suggest the diesel forum if you're looking for some abuse ?
I saw a 10 second Chebbie pick-up in a magazine the other day. 1/2 ton 4WD, 5.3 out and a 6.0 gasser in with just a couple mods, and a big shot of juice. The guy street races it for BIG money. All stock outside, engages 4WD for traction, it was pretty rad.
It's a blast to dust off the unsuspecting camaro or 'stang and especially a ricer, when they didn't notice the little whine from hood at idle or the little tiny SUPERCHARGED sticker. THEY NOTICED IT FROM BEHIND THOUGH!!!!!! Hahahahahaha!
i had a turbo suburu try and pass me at the very top of my 25% grade today .on the right. this road bears right around a big rock at the top then drops to one lane. should have seen this girls face turn white as this big f250 starts slideing to the left as i punched it even harder . i was already at 65 mph in tow haul tail mode, when she tryed to pass. sorry no lane left on your side. the hill climb lane ended. ricers never seem to learn till they loose a few times to one of our new v10's.
i would love to see her try that with the dude here with his supercharged one "v10 of course"
Are you saying you started drifting around the corner?
Good kill though...those are the best 7000LB trucks beating little 3000LB (if that) cars with fart cans...good stuff!
ya nick. lots of gravel up there yet, so it was easy to start drifting it out. i just cut the wheel to the right and slide the rear to my left. i think she may have messed her drawers seeing almost 8k holding her off. i had my cuz. with me and he's a ricer. slide me a high five and a right on man.
