Power assist problems

I recently bought a 77 f250 with a 460, when I bought it the guy said that the previous 460 had been pretty wild and did not make enough vaccum to make the brakes work so he put on a hydra boost ( I think thats what its called) from a 7? lincoln. Shortly after I bought the truck I started losing my brakes and totally lost my power steering. I replaced my power steering pump but that didnt change any thing. Should I just scap the hydra boost and go back to stock or is there a fix for this?
All advice is appreciated I,m new at this.

It's hard to say for certain but it sounds like the brake booster might need to be rebuilt. Provided he didn't hack anything you could probably swap a vacuum booster back in there but I'll tell you that I just installed hydroboost and it stops FAR better than the old vacuum booster.
