16 years this month at the same company. I have been in 8 different cities in 2 different states in numerous positions.

The job tenure in my line of work isn't usually very long. I was at my last job for two years and this one for a year. Hotels have an alarmingly high turn over rate in the management. After I resigned as Front Office Manager (1 year), the General Manager turned in his notice and left as well (9 months). It's nothing to be offered another job because a company sees that your hotel is doing well and wants you for their team. I was offered my management job while I worked for another hotel, and I was offered two jobs in the last year.
