I was in contact with a few local radio stations and got price quotes but there prices were a little high for us this year. If we do know what we would like to spend let me know and I will see what I can do.

I can probably get some of my aeronautical friends to build an air to ground refueler too.
Gas stations will probably be hard to come by.

Might we one day see international meets/rallies at different times of year?
(Although if its far to get to Kansas from the US and Canada - imagine driving the outback to get to a rally!)
Seems to me Alice Springs is near the center of Australia, but there ain't much there except a great big antenna from what I've heard...
An Aussie truck meet would likely attract a lot more than FORDs too - and many of the trucks would be amazing!
So - if people inconus had problems making it to the rally, imagine by comparision...

We certainly don't have the numbers of F-Series owners to hold a national meet at the moment.

And you are correct, Alice Springs is right in the middle, but the majority of the population is on the East Coast.
Since its catered, a Chili Cook-off would be out I suppose.
Pity, I don't think there are many if any people who make Chili the way I do.
Lots of red green and yellow bell peppers, Anahiem chilies, black and green olives, mushrooms, chopped fresh tomates,beef sausage and/or shredded brisket,onions, garlic, oregano (mild mexican oregano), some fresh cilantro, coriander, a splash of lemon juice, and some masa(fine corn meal) to thicken it some.
There's only so much Carrol Shelby could put in those tiny little paper bags. Mine comes in a shopping cart!
