my truck (1977 ford f-250) starts okay but won't accelerate past 15 mph and dies just minutes after driving it! i've run it for 10 minutes before driving but still get the same results. any help would be appreciated!
What engine, carb, transmission do you have? Have you done anything to it recently? Did it start all of a sudden, or has it always done this? Does it idle good? Does it run smooth when reved up?
There are several things that would cause the trouble you are having...check them out.
timing
air filter
choke operating properly
fuel filter
fuel pump
vacuum leak
bad dist cap, rotor, wires or plugs

Need more info on the truck.
Might be a bad fuel pump.(just guessing).
Change your fuel filter before you dump a ton of money in other repairs. A motor will start and idle fine on low fuel flow, but starves for fuel at higher rpm.
