1990 F-150 Window regulator problem
Hello. The drivers' side window will not go up any longer. (It does go down...but I suspect that that is due to gravity alone) I hear the motor whine...but I do not think that it engaging the gear cogs. Before I tear out the motor assy I was just wondering if there is a plastic gear on the top of the regulator that I am able to swap out...or must I purchase another unit? Thanks

Its really not to bad of a repair. Just remove the motor, youll see the metal gear, there are 3 screws i think to remove the cover on the motor. Youll then be able to see the big white gear and the three little plugs that are probably torn up. Make sure when you put the new ones in to grease the gear. I usually use wheel bearing grease, but I think the kit comes with some. Good luck!

If i remember correctly I got mine out through that hole in the door under the speaker. It takes a little twisting it around it get it out. I believe its just 3 bolts and the electrical connector holding it in there.
