97 EB Explorer - NO O/D ???
My 1997 EB Explorer has 182,000 miles on it with a tranny rebuild (front pump / seal leak) about 2 months ago. The tranny began to netrual out after the shift from 3rd to 4th about a week ago. If I turn off the O/D it wont catch until the speed drops to about 35-40 MPH then engages. I have been told that this could be an electrical problem but my gut tells me its another tranny issue. Is this enough info for anyone to take a guess at what might be the problem. When O/D is on it neutrals out after third gear with O/D off I get decent shifts but still not like it was prior to the tranny coming out 2 months ago.
