I'm not quite sure what your asking? There are three cross members, one at the front of bed then two more. Then there is sill piece at end that lays right under tailgate. These pieces are crucial to lining up the wood bed boards and the bed strips and sandwiching a wood floor to these cross supports and then bolting everything to the frame. Now that I've said this I'm not sure if you have a wood floor, do you? Hope this helps, let us know more....... Dylan1952

If the '48's are like the '51-'52 in this respect, the rear stake pockets extend down past the bedwood to be welded to the rear sill or crossmember (which is not at all like the other crossmembers). If the '48's are supposed to do the same, it sounds like a really big problem... Got a picture? Who did you buy the kit from?

Front and rear stake pockets on the F1 are the same. There should also be a pair of inner connectors that weld to the rear roll pan and to each stake pocket bottom. Makes a solid unit of the roll pan/2 stake pockets/2 corner connectors. Easier to see than explain.
