v-8 conversion ?
I have a 98 xlt 3.0 xtra cab ranger 4x4 standard shift. I blew the motor a couple years ago and decided to put a v-8 in not an easy swap like I had thought. I bought a 97 merc mountianeer v-8 awd thought it would bolt right in it didnt I changed the frame mounts that went in after the engine was in I realized that the 5.0 has a 2 line fuel system and the 3.0 stock had a one line systemwhat can I do to solve this without putting the other tank into my truck can i use a fuel cell I am discurraged and overwhelmed that is why it is takeing so long to put together I have a frame with a drivetrain in the driveway with a cab and bed in the barn any help would be great thank you.

Polky5.0, Sorry I don't have an answer for you, but I can tell you that most every one that has transplanted an engine has had to deal with unexpected problems. There is a lot of knowledge available to you from this forum and I hope you find some help. Hang in there.

transfer case ?
I have a 98 ranger project I dont want awd I want to be able to play in 2wd want to know if there is any other transfercase that will bolt to a 97 mountianeer 5.0 auto I will swap trannys if i have to thank you guys for the help
