first start no go...2nd maybe...

i'm having a hard time trying to start the b whenever it sits longer than 6h. in the mornings it always starts on the second try but then i have to give it gas for a cuople minutes or it will stall. after that it runs beautiful.

so far i changed the fuel filter and map sensor...could it be the fuel regulator? any way to test it? its a '89 4x4 2.9 anybody had this happen before?

FPR is one possibility. Test by 1) run engine (or attempt to run engine), pull vacuum line off of FPR and inspect for gasoline. If gasoline in vacuum line then FPR is bad. 2) Put fiuel pressure gauge on fuel rail and test fuel pressure (Ken has a little write up in his tech info post).

Any codes in the computer?

the new fuel filter seems to help a bit. as far as the fuel preassure regulator i could smeel fuel in the vacum line... no fuel in the line thogh.
