Had a week off work, made some good progress on the old truck. Finished welding on the chop. fabbed new door channels, moved front fender openings forward, blasted and Zero Rusted some parts.
Posted updated pics in gallery "Chopin the Top" and "Cab front end first fit"
I still have some hammer and dolley work on the roof, but I think I'm progressing fairly well.
Any and all feedback is welcome, Just be nice
Mike
Like I said before, you are my hero. Looks like a great job so far.
I wish there was more light for your pictures, though. It's hard to see some of the work. I'd really like to see what the weld seams of the top pieces looks like. It seems to me that they might be the hardest welding areas.
Randy, you can do a right mouse click and save the photo to your computer - once you have a copy you can use any photo program to adjust the contrast and see the details you wish. I just did this using an old copy of photoshop and can now see that he has a transmission on the floor next to his wall, and two mover's dollys stacked on his overhead storage.
The cab looks great, but the door seam is going to need more work. Wish I could do as nice a job as he is . . .
Randy,
I'll try to get some better pics of the seams, however they are not complete on top yet. don't look real pretty yet.
FF56, Pics of the fender mods are in Cab Front End First Fit.

Thanks Merc, as you may recall it was not a planned mod for me, however now that its done, I like it. I'm actually glad it turned out this way. I agree that it helps even out the front end.
