how many 66 mustangs r left?
just wanna get some opinions on how many 1966 mustangs r left on the road or at least still in extience. since they made 600,000 of em like almost more than any other car in a year it would b interesting to no how many r left now. mine turns 40 october 23rd i think im gonna get her tranny rebuilt in celabration.

I know of one, nope, make that two. I have a numbers correct K code fastback, 289 hipo, t-4, t-lok, GT, rally pack, pony interior, and all Cobra options including 4 wheel disc brakes. The car mostly sees car shows but it runs great! My cousin just got into a 66 convertible. Nothing outstanding about it other than a rag top. Clean car that she paid way too much for but then again, you only go around once. Now that I think about it, I know of three. A friend might still have a 66 with a Wankel engine in it. The engine even has the Ford emblems on it. I have only seen it once. I think I'll make a phonr call and see if he still has it. How many are left? Not near enough apparently considering what one is worth in decent shape. Mine requires the value to be determined for the insurance company every year. The last value was $54,000. Ridiculous.

They are starting to get kind of rare. When Gone In Sixty Seconds came out, the older Mustangs got really popular (the whole "Elenor" thing). I think that they are in a little bit less demand now because the '05 'Stangs look like the ones from the '60s but there are still a lot of people who want the real thing.
