I didn't get home until 1:30 this morning, and believe it or not, I'm at work- I've never been so tired in my life! Noe to everyone: DO NOT fly through Atlanta in the summer time!

I don't even know where to start, but I'll post my thoughts later. I can tell you this: I was on such a high when I left KC (and still am!) that I doubted I needed the plane to fly home! For a first-time effort, this went so far above my expectations that I can't believe it. Let me catch up on some business and I'll be back later.

I had a blast. Well worth the drive even if I was not on vacation and I'll be there again next year. It was great to put names to faces. I'd like to thank everyone that was there, you are all good people. Thanks to Ken and Peggy for all the hard work and for bringing the SCT guys to the show. The tuner woke the Mustang up. The Photoline guys did an awesome job taking pictures of the Mustang. Karen now has a 20x24 picture that looks like it came out of one of the magazines.

And a big thanks to the Kansas Chapter. What a good bunch of people. You guys really made this a great event.

From Karen,
When we get home from vacation, I'll have to logon and get a UserID. I had no idea what to expect when we came. I ask Terry questions and I always get very brief answers. What do you expect after being married 25 years? So I have to fill in the gaps with my imagination. You all are such a great group of people and how you all came together and worked together was really great. I had such a good time and can't wait for next year's rally. It was nice meeting everyone and Peggy - I'll help with whatever you need me to next year.

I believe everybody there had a great time, I know I did. It was great meeting and putting a face to a user name. A nice and relaxing weekend enjoyed with great people with a common interest. And like tmyers posted about the photoline pictures, I also got a picture of my truck done in the field beside the parking lot, it looks like a magazine photo. But on a side note to tell how good these people are. I purchased a fiberglass cover (used) that was white in color, and did not have enough time to get it painted black to match my truck, photoline changed the cover to black in the photo to really set the truck off. Great people and quality products!!

I also want to thank everyone that had a part in planning and putting all this together, you did a fantastic job. And the Kansas Chapter, you show what a chapter should be, freinds that become like family. You were all a great host, and I am looking forward to next year!

Some of the considerations regarding the dates are Kids being out of school for the summer, other events happening at the same time (including the fourth of july), and having it early enough in the season to beat the really hot weather (we lucked out this year).

As mentioned though, the planning is already happening and there will soon be some forums, comittees, and contact people for ideas and suggestions.

The Paynes are doing some travelling just now, so try to avoid an E-Mail blitz okey dokey? Ain't nobody answering that phone, and that's what the committees are for.

As far as getting lucky this yr. on the weather, the week before the rally, it was in the 100's. The week after the rally it is in the 100's!!!
And this weekend there is a chance for rain!!!!

If you don't like the weather in Ks., stick around a week and it will change!!!!
