I have a 94 Ranger Splash with the 2.3L. The truck died on me today just after leaving the drive way and would not start again. I pulled the codes but there was none. I can hear the fuel pump engage when I turn on the ignition. I put a new spark plug in one of the spark plugs wires and turned the engine over but there was no spark wit it touching a ground. I went and bought 2 new Ignition coils and that did not help. Then bought a new Ignition Control Module (ICM) still did not help. I took out the Inertia switch and put in a jumper cable no help. I checked the fuel relay - had a new spare, checked the ECC Pwr & IGN Fuses in the fuse compartment near the engine and they do not look blown. I noticed one that says "Diode" does not look like a regular fuse not sure what that is for. Tried switching the EEC Power Relay with the A/C Relay that did not help. I do not know what else to try or check. Any help ???

I don't know a whole lot about these things, but I do have some questions/suggestions. Did the timing chain/belt break? Do you think maybe the coils and plugs are good but the actual plug wire is bad? I wish I knew more about these things. Good luck.
