05 rear view mirror

05 rear view mirror
I can't figure out how to get my rear view mirror off my 05 350. I purchased a used auto dimming mirror to replace my regular mirror. Any help is greatly appreciated.

wiingnut, did you get your answer?? I hve an 05 350; took the mirror off also to install auto dimming. The mirror is held on by a "clip", looking at it the center "clip" needs to be pried off. Be careful not to apply preasure to the windshield. Use a smell thin head screw driver and pry one side, you will see it start to lift. Hope this helps!!

Thank you. Yes I did get my info. I figured it out. I also replaced with auto dimming mirror. Got mine om ebay used, perfect condition, from a 96 bonneville. Shipping and handing included $25.00. Works like a charm.

Aren't they all auto dimming or was it an option? I know mine is but I don't remember requesting it.

wiingnut, what did you hookit up to? I tried looking for fused power source but no luck!! Any suggestions.
caveman, if you got the Larit package it came with it on 05's. Mine didn't have the Larit package, sure wish it did.
