after market a/c

I own an 84 bII and I just recharged the after market a/c which is a r134a system and all the pressure is within spec, but im still blowing hot air. The truck is a 3 speed auto and I can feel the compressor working because my truck looses power when the a/c button is pressed. Im out of ideas all my manuals are for the original system not an r134 system. They look the same in the pics but im lost at what would make it run hoy with the system all charged.

do you have gas in there now

if not then you remove cores with a valve core removal tool same for the tire valves.
any auto store should have it. valve core tool

yeah it still at 40-45 psi at the moment. There is one thing I notice is that when the a/c button is on it makes a hissing noise youcan hear in the cab. I dont know what it is.
