To this end I purchased a 2006 Itasca Cambria MH equipped with the Ford V10 & latest 5-spd grade-braking auto trans, Dana 80 rear on a HD E450 chassis. This vehicle nicely compliments my "stable" of Dodge trucks [3], a Lincoln MarkVII, Toyota RAV4, a classic Plymouth RR, three tube-chassis race cars, an assortment of trailers, boats, bikes, etc.
I learned over the years that it was more cost-effective to study all things mechanical, purchase or fabricate the necessary tools and tackle the job forthwith. This approach always cost me less in the long run than paying for someone else to learn how to fix your stuff [at your expense]. With today's fast developing technologies I find it even more important to remain on top of things - especially on my "fixed" income in a rapidly $$$$ increasing economy!
Therefore I offer to share my knowledge of mechanical things while gleaning new information from this forum about my Ford. Thanx for the opportunity to participate!
