you are just going to hate this! you need to reach up behind the dash to the switch and locate the push button on it. with the switch in the on position, push the little button in and then pull the **** and shaft assembly out. it may not be as easy as i make it sound as you are doing it blind and sometimes the shaft does not release as easy as it should. and of course pushing the button can only be done by a 7 year old acrobat who can bend in half in the middle and fold all her fingers the wrong way (G). hawkrod
But, Disconnect the battery first.
The most important thing because there are many people who complain about this is.
Make sure the Switch is In the Headlights ON postion before pulling the **** out of the switch.
The Button is on the top of the switch > Very close to the actual Metal of the dash and is on a spring release.
