New member, first question....
Hello,
I am looking to but my first excursion, which I have been looking for for a while know. I need one to use as a family hauler, and a tow vehicle for our 26' camper.
I found a very nice '00 limited 4x4, with the v-10. It is very nice, and clean. the owner just replaced the lower ball joints and he said the shocks are all original and he would recommed I replace them.
It has 121K miles on it, which frankly doesn't scare me. I would think it would have a lot of life still in it.
The asking price is 11900, but I think I can get it for closer to 10.
Does anyone have any advice they can offer me as to what to look out for, and also if this seems like a good deal or not?
Mileage is a factor, but I only get 14-15 with my current 04 f-150, so it won't be that much worse.

if not afraid of mileage, then just get it looked at by somebody you trust.
have 02 ex v10, mpg range from 9 when towing to 14 w/o towing, rear end is 4.10 or 4.30 can't remember have hand.
wife drives mostly, mpg a little worse w/ her behind wheel.(gas, brake,gas,brake no in between)
would like to trade for 6.0 diesal used but have not found the right deal
best advice i can give is(and got it here), buy what you want and don't look back.
