hi everyone, I was just wondering if anyone new about a product i saw on tv a while back, its kinda hard to describe, but its a type of setup you add to your exhaust system, its a module that makes you able to turn your exaust from loud to quiet with the flip of a switch, it bypasses it around the muffler or something like that, , anyways i was just seeing if anyone new where i could get one of these at. The one Im lookin for is not a cut out, I have flowmasters on it now and want the ability to make it silent sometimes.

From what I have been told they are not worth the money. The get clogged and then you cannot switch them. I was looking into them to put on an older truck that I have. So, instead what they are doing is they split the exhaust before the glasspack, one side goes through the glasspack, the other is straight pipe. Then they bolted a plug on the end of the straight pipe, so when it is plugged, the exhaust goes throught the glasspacks, and when it is unplugged it goes straight pipe. Works great from what I have been told. We'll see when I get it done.
On trucks they installed electric exhaust cut outs under the cab right before the bed and the mufflers. You mounted a switch and when you flipped it the electric motor pulled the cover from one side to another. I'm pretty sure I saw them in summit. Like to try one

yea but southern4x4er said its not a cut out. He already has a flowmaster, so he wants to go from flowmaster rumble to stock at a flip of a switch, not from stock to open pipes. The only way I can think of doing something like this is to have two mufflers, the stock and the flowmaster with some kind of bypass to select from one of the two.......don't know if that even makes sense....
The only reason I can think of wanting this is to sneak back home without waking up the wife/parents. A friend of mine put some flowmasters on his truck and it ended up being way too loud. So when he was coming home in the middle of the night he would have to turn off the truck a block away from the house and coast it into the driveway so his parents wouldn't bust him.
thanks for the replies everyone, ya im not "sneakin out" I'm a paid firefighter/emt and the girlfriend has just been getting awoken when I go to late night calls (as if the siren and flashing lights doesn't possible have something to do with it) I mentioned it, but i got a dirty look and was told it was that loud a$$ exhaust lol. Gotta love the flows...........but I thought I'd see what all it would take
